When Our Employees Participate in the Olympic Games
5.21.2024The Olympic and Paralympic Games are approaching, and several employees from DERICHEBOURG Multiservices are participating: carrying the Olympic torch, volunteering, athletes, and more.
Some employees from the subsidiaries of DERICHEBOURG Multiservices will have the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. For example, a few have taken leave to volunteer and assist spectators or athletes during the event. Jessica from DERICHEBOURG Facility shares, "Being a volunteer for the Olympic Games will be an incredible experience! I will meet people from all over the world, witness high-level competitions, and contribute to the success of this exceptional event. It will be a unique and unforgettable human adventure."
Other employees, like Pierre from DERCHEBOURG Aeronautics, have had the honor of carrying the Olympic flame: "I was a torchbearer for the Olympic flame, as part of the collective relay of the French Rugby Federation on May 18, in Auch. I am also part of the National Technical Officials (NTO) team as a 'Sub Controller' to manage the sidelines and substitutions at the two Olympic Rugby Sevens tournaments. This selection, obtained after a process of motivational interviews and technical knowledge assessments, results from my experience at last year’s Rugby World Cup in France where I had the same responsibilities. It crowns many years of dedication that now allow me to serve as a central referee in ProD2."
Lastly, let's not forget about the athletes. Our ambassador, Dany Dann, is the European and French breakdancing champion. He is part of the first cohort of dancers at the Insep, ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where breakdancing will make its debut. We also think of Thu Kamkasomphou who will attempt to win gold at the Paralympic Games in table tennis.
