PME Tour - DGA: an event rich in opportunities for the defense industry

An Event with many Opportunities for the Defence Industry

The French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), a state-owned company specialised in the testing, installation and modernisation of military equipment, recently organised an event for SMEs in the Defence Industry, the PME Tour DGA in Agen. The aim of the event was to discuss future defence issues, particularly in terms of French sovereignty, namely the importance of national arms production and the consolidation of strategic alliances.

The day's programme was divided into two main parts with the morning being devoted to lectures and presentations, and the afternoon to meetings and discussions between participants. The round table at the end of the morning brought together a number of senior executives to discuss a range of subjects including industrial strategies, subcontracting and the importance of materials suppliers. The diversity of the subjects enabled us to explore different approaches to solving similar problems, whatever the sector or size of the companies involved.

The event brought together more than 200 companies, offering a unique opportunity to consolidate existing relationships and make new contacts in the defence sector. For Romain Berna, a salesman specialising in defence for Derichebourg aeronautics services, it was the ideal opportunity to expand his professional network. The meetings, organised in the form of fifteen-minute sessions, helped to put potential partners in touch with each other, enabling collaboration opportunities to be identified quickly.

Derichebourg aeronautics services is currently a subcontracting prime contractor for the DGA, offering its expertise in subcontractor management. This collaboration enables the DGA to benefit from skilled labour to carry out tests on new aircraft monitoring systems for surveillance missions, new parts and engines, as well as for maintenance management.

The PME Tour DGA was a great success, offering valuable networking and partnership opportunities. For participants like Romain, the event not only strengthened existing relationships but also opened up new opportunities in the defence sector.
